Gellatly runs down to the lake, so the route is back up toward Highway 97 and across to Carrington Road. Straight-line distance and drive time do not match here; the crossing is what costs the extra minutes, and it is worse at school run than at ten in the morning.

Book the early Friday slot. Fridays open at 7am, which is before the highway starts backing up, and it puts you back home or at work before most of the day has started.
The same applies in reverse to Thursdays, which run to 7pm.
