Where she trained
Born and raised in Winnipeg, and she stayed close to home for all of it: a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba in 2005, a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2009, and a BSc in Dentistry — Community Health the same year.
Two years in an established private practice in Winnipeg, then she and her husband Derek moved west to the Okanagan. She has been practising in West Kelowna since 2010.
How she works
The microbiology degree is not decoration. It is where the approach comes from — treatment decisions made from evidence rather than from what is fashionable, and explained to you in the same terms they were decided in.

Outside the practice

Who founded Brightside Dental?
Dr. Courtney Pollard opened the practice in July 2014. It is now part of Webster Dental Group, and she continues to practise here as an associate dentist.
Where did Dr. Pollard study dentistry?
The University of Manitoba, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2009, alongside a BSc in Dentistry (Community Health). Her undergraduate degree was a BSc in Microbiology, also from the University of Manitoba.
