Where she trained
Born in Halifax, most of her childhood in Edmonton. She graduated With Distinction from the University of Alberta's Faculty of Dentistry in 1996.
Then a year in Vancouver covering vacation and maternity leaves across several offices, and teaching in UBC's Division of Pediatric Dentistry — which is a useful thing to have in a family practice. In 1997 she and Dr. Loo moved to Kelowna and bought a practice they ran together for over twenty-two years. They sold it recently for the time it gave them back.
In her own words
Her stated philosophy is honesty, integrity and compassion, and the part of it she returns to is teaching: explaining what is going on in someone's mouth and what the options actually are, rather than presenting a decision already made.
My top priority is that when patients come they have a great experience from beginning to end.
Outside the practice
She volunteers with the BC Dental Association, the Thompson-Okanagan Dental Society, and the Certified Dental Assisting programme at Okanagan College. Cooking, gardening, hiking, paddle-boarding, boating, skiing, and two children.

Since 1997. She and Dr. Lincoln Loo owned a family practice in Kelowna for more than twenty-two years before joining Brightside Dental.
Does Dr. Belbin see children?
Yes. She taught in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at UBC before moving to Kelowna, and she sees children as part of family appointments.
