Brightside General dentistry

The whole household,
one building.

Everyone in the family seen in the same place, frequently on the same morning, so nobody crosses the bridge twice.

What it is

The point is the logistics.

Clinically, a family practice is general dentistry for every age. Practically, the thing that makes it worth choosing is whether the office can actually get three people in on one morning, and whether the hours let you do that without pulling a child out of school or taking a day off.

  • You are booking for more than one person
  • School and work make weekday afternoons hard
  • Your children are at different ages and stages
  • A grandparent needs care too
  • You are new to West Kelowna
  • You are tired of two practices and two sets of forms

What the visit is like

How a family block works.

  1. Say who is coming when you callHow many people and their ages. That decides how much chair time gets set aside and which day works.
  2. We put you together where we canNot every combination fits every week. The front desk will tell you on the phone what is possible rather than book you three separate trips.
  3. Younger children go first, usuallyThey do better before they are tired, and it means an adult is free to sit with them afterwards.
  4. One conversation at the endAnything found for anyone gets explained together, with fees and insurance estimates in writing.

Cost and coverage

You should never be surprised by a bill.

Every plan arrives with the fee beside each line and the insurance estimate beside that, before you agree to anything. We submit to your plan directly where it allows it, and we are set up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Fees for this are quoted in writing after an exam, per tooth and per surface. Nobody can price it accurately from a website or over the phone.

Common questions

Asked on the phone most weeks.

Can you really see three of us in one morning?
Often, yes, but it depends on the week and on what each person needs. Ask when you call and you will get a straight answer on the phone rather than after you arrive.
Do you see very young children?
Yes, from the first tooth. Early visits are short and mostly about familiarity.
What are your hours?
Monday to Wednesday 8:00 to 5:30, Thursday until 7:00, and Friday from 7:00am. Closed weekends. The Thursday evening and early Friday exist so school and work do not have to move.

Booking

Say what it is when you call.

If it is pain, say that -- it changes how the day gets arranged. If it is a checkup for three people, say that too and we will try to put you in one morning.
