What it is
This is mostly a solution for lower dentures.
Upper full dentures usually hold reasonably well because there is palate to seal against. Lower ones frequently do not, because there is less ridge and the tongue is constantly moving. Two or more implants give a lower denture something to clip onto, and for many people that is the difference between wearing it and not.
- Your lower denture moves when you eat or talk
- You use adhesive daily and still do not trust it
- Sore spots keep recurring in the same places
- You have avoided certain foods for years
- A conventional denture has been remade and still does not hold
- You want a fixed feel without full-arch treatment
What the visit is like
What is involved.
- Assessment and imagingWhether there is enough bone, and where. This is the step that decides whether it is possible and how many implants make sense.
- Placing the implantsA surgical appointment, with sedation available. Then a healing period of some months before anything is loaded.
- Fitting the attachmentsThe denture is adapted to clip onto the implants, or a new one is made for the purpose.
- MaintenanceThe clip components wear and get replaced periodically. That is normal and worth knowing about in advance rather than discovering later.
Cost and coverage
You should never be surprised by a bill.
Every plan arrives with the fee beside each line and the insurance estimate beside that, before you agree to anything. We submit to your plan directly where it allows it, and we are set up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.
Fees for this are quoted in writing after an exam, per tooth and per surface. Nobody can price it accurately from a website or over the phone.
Common questions
Asked on the phone most weeks.
How many implants does it take?
Is it fixed in permanently?
How long does the whole process take?

If it is pain, say that -- it changes how the day gets arranged. If it is a checkup for three people, say that too and we will try to put you in one morning.
