Brightside Cosmetic dentistry

Several treatments,
planned as one.

Not a procedure in itself. It is what you call it when whitening, bonding, veneers and alignment get combined and sequenced toward one result.

What it is

The sequence is the work.

Order matters enormously. Whitening comes before anything that has to be shade-matched. Alignment usually comes before veneers, because moving teeth first often means less of them need covering. Getting the sequence wrong means redoing work, which is the expensive kind of mistake.

  • Several things bother you rather than one
  • You have been quoted for veneers on many teeth
  • Teeth are both discoloured and uneven
  • You have an event some months away
  • Previous cosmetic work no longer matches
  • You want to know the total before starting

What the visit is like

How it is planned.

  1. A long appointment about what you wantPhotographs, records, and a proper conversation. Often what someone describes as their whole smile turns out to be two teeth.
  2. The smallest plan that gets thereWhere alignment plus whitening achieves the result, that beats eight veneers on cost and on keeping your own enamel.
  3. Written sequence and total costEvery stage, in order, with timing and the full figure. You take it away and think.
  4. Staged, with a look at each pointYou see the result at each stage. Adjusting a plan partway is normal and much cheaper than at the end.

Cost and coverage

You should never be surprised by a bill.

Every plan arrives with the fee beside each line and the insurance estimate beside that, before you agree to anything. We submit to your plan directly where it allows it, and we are set up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Fees for this are quoted in writing after an exam, per tooth and per surface. Nobody can price it accurately from a website or over the phone.

Common questions

Asked on the phone most weeks.

Do I need veneers on all my front teeth?
Frequently not. It is a common recommendation and often more treatment than the problem requires. We will show you what fewer teeth, or a different approach, would achieve first.
How long does it take?
Weeks for whitening and bonding, months if alignment is part of it. If you have a date in mind, tell us at the start, because it changes what is realistic.
Will you tell me if I should not do this?
Yes. Where the honest answer is that the result would not justify the cost, or that a tooth is better restored than resurfaced, you will hear it.

Booking

Say what it is when you call.

If it is pain, say that -- it changes how the day gets arranged. If it is a checkup for three people, say that too and we will try to put you in one morning.
